PREPARING THE CHASSIS

    After being stripped bare the chassis was sandblasted and primed.

Then it was given a coat of ZeroRust white.    

    It was then given a couple of coats of Rustoleum glossy black.

The front crossmember had been butchered for a short engine so I decided to replace it.

   

First I drilled a pilot hole, then a bigger hole through each rivet.    

   

Then chopped off the heads with a chisel and     popped out the rivets with a punch.

   

New crossmember installed with bolts and painted.
